What is ProjectWise?
ProjectWise is Bentley's project delivery software for engineering and construction data management, collaboration and validation. It is part of Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, which connects project and asset data across design, construction and operations.
What is the difference between Connect and ProjectWise licences?
Connect gives the wider team web and mobile access to documents and models, issue approval, correspondence and supply chain deliverables. ProjectWise includes everything in Connect, plus engineering work in progress, managed workspaces, CAD standards, design reviews, clash detection and civil validation.
What is in the ProjectWise Bundle?
Six ProjectWise subscriptions for designers and 15 Connect subscriptions for managers, reviewers and stakeholders, for up to 21 users, in one dedicated environment preconfigured with industry standard workflows, including an ISO 19650-based configuration.
How is the ProjectWise Flex Bundle different?
It has the same dedicated environment and capabilities, but you choose the mix of ProjectWise and Connect licences. There is a minimum purchase, and above it each licence type can be added independently.
Where is our project data stored?
You choose the storage location when you order. The options are India, the UAE, Singapore, Australia, Europe, the UK, US East, US West, Canada, Brazil and South Africa.
Who hosts and maintains the environment?
Bentley. The bundles give you a dedicated cloud environment that Bentley hosts, secures and manages, so you do not run your own servers.
Does ProjectWise work with MicroStation, AutoCAD and Revit?
Yes. ProjectWise integrates with design applications including MicroStation and Bentley's Open applications, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit, as well as Microsoft Office, IFC and PDF.
Can clients and contractors use ProjectWise?
Yes. Connect licences give clients, contractors, suppliers and field staff browser and mobile access, online or offline, to review documents and models, approve issues and send deliverables.
Does ProjectWise support ISO 19650?
The ProjectWise Bundle includes an ISO 19650-based configuration as a starting point for consistent information management.
Can we buy single licences instead of a bundle?
Yes. Bentley also sells individual 12-month Connect and ProjectWise subscriptions. Tell us your team and we will tell you whether a bundle or single licences make more sense.
Does ProjectWise use AI?
Bentley includes AI-powered search, document summaries, title-block extraction, revision change identification and automated indexing of project media.
How do we get started?
Order the bundle and name a ProjectWise administrator. Once the environment is provisioned, the administrator receives the credentials securely, and your team starts with self-serve learning and instructor-led training.
